PROCESS FLOW & SETTING UP

Please find below the process flow on how to apply for a QSR of your choice together with further details.  An Information Pack will be sent to you that is to be returned to our offices in order to start the application process for you. Please feel free to make contact with us should you have any questions. We are more than willing to assist.

 

*In the Case of a Change of hands where you want to purchase an existing business that would be suitable for the QSR – please skip directly to the application forms. The process flow will be applicable up to the approval step. After this step we will communicate the next steps directly with you.

 

STEP 1: ENQUIRY

 

STEP 2: APPLICATION

How to Apply:

  • Fill in our Application Form and Letter Of Intent included in our Information Pack (Remember to initial the bottom of every page).

  • Send a copy of your ID Document and Proof of Address with the Application Form and Letter Of Intent to Head Office.

  • Once the forms have been received and you have been approved, an email will be sent with arrangements for the next step.

 

STEP 3: PAYMENT OF LICENSE FEE

  • The once off Franchisor Fee payment is R35 000.00 which is not included in the cost of setting up the QSR. Should we not find suitable premises for you within 3 months after being approved this payment will be refunded less our costs.

  • The proof of payment must be sent along with the application form

STEP 4: APPOINTMENT

  • Once the payment of the license fee has been confirmed, an appointment will be set at our Head Office or alternatively we will travel to a destination of your choice to meet with you.  Travel and accommodation costs to be borne by the Franchisee.

 

STEP 5: FINDING A SITE

There are many different ways of finding a site for your store:

  • Find your own site.

  • We ASSIST with Finding a site and negotiating an amicable Lease with the Landlord.

  • Re-sales (Take over an existing store)

 

STEP 6: SITE APPROVAL

  • We will send one of our Representatives to visit the site, inspect it and then approve/decline it.

 

STEP 7: LICENSE AGREEMENT

  • The Franchise Agreement must be signed TWO WEEKS PRIOR to the commencement of SETTING UP YOUR QSR.

 

STEP 8: FULL PAYMENT

  • PRIOR to the SETTING UP of the store, the full amount due and owing needs to be paid, this to all the suppliers, etc.

  • The full payment as well as a signed Franchise and Lease Agreement must be present before commencement of setting up.

  • The balance can either be cash or financed through any institution of your choice. If assistance is needed with balance that is financed, we will provide a Business Profile, which is a requirement of the bank.

 

STEP 9: TRAINING

  • Training is only scheduled once the Franchise and Lease Agreement is signed AND full payment of the Franchisor Fee has been made.

  • You will be allocated with training dates.

  • You will need to book TWO SETS OF TRAINING: Franchisee Training and Staff Training

  • NO store will be allowed to open without fully understanding and passing of the training courses for owners and their staff.

 

STEP 10: SETTING UP

  • It takes approx 14 - 18 days to set up a store.

 

STEP 11: RECEIVING OPENING STOCK

  • Is received TWO DAYS PRIOR to the STORE OPENING

 

STEP 12: OPENING OF THE STORE

  • Simple operational structure – easy to run more than one store.

  • Once all 12 steps are completed, the store is then opened.

  • Will receive assistance by a Team Member for 5 DAYS FROM OPENING or more if required

 

SET UP COSTS (Estimated)

All our QSR set up costs are in the region of R167, 000.00 – R245, 000.00 exclusive of V.A.T., Franchisor fee, lease fees and start up stock.  Each outlet is approximately 70m² - 90m² offering seating for up to 10 people.  Each Franchisee has up to 6 months to open their stores. 

 

All our outlets, with the exception of our Pizza QSR, include the following equipment:

  • Gas Fryer 2-Tank 2-Basket

  • Table 1700 x 660 x 900mm SS                             

  • Flatbed Table Model Gas Griller

  • Upright Freezer - Single Door

  • Display Freezer

  • 1 x Floor Model Chips Fryer

  • 1 x 2 Door Cold Drink Fridge

  • 1 x Canopy

  • 1 x 1.1m Table

  • 5 x PVC Tables

  • 10 x Chairs

  • Microwave

  • Cash Register

  • iKhokha Card machine

**WOW Pizza, Pasta and Grill has a built in wood fired pizza oven

Management fee

FOOD HUBS SA charges a monthly management fee of R2, 000.00

 

Advertising fee

FOOD HUBS SA charges a monthly advertising fee is R500.00 (subject to change with Franchisee approval)

 

Trade Marks

A Franchisee has the right to the use of our trademarks in all aspects in accordance with the Franchise agreement
